**Job Overview**:
The role involves managing marketing and sales activities for our business’s training programs and short courses, with the objective of boosting sales and revenue generation. Responsibilities include cultivating and maintaining a customer base through a variety of sales strategies, aimed at expanding the company's reach and ensuring sustained growth.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Utilize established networks to identify and pursue sales prospects within the target demographic.
- Deploy effective sales methodologies to attract new clientele, with a focus on engaging the BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) sector.
- Work closely with sales consultants to execute BEE strategies and leverage skills development criteria for client acquisition.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of BEE skills development initiatives to articulate the value proposition convincingly to potential clients.

**Customer Relationship Management**:

- Direct sales efforts at events such as career days, roadshows, and exhibitions.
- Identify potential customers and explore opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Cultivate new client relationships while nurturing existing ones for sustained engagement.
- Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner.

**Sales Management**:

- Identify and capitalize on sales prospects to maximize revenue generation.
- Contribute to the development of strategic sales plans.
- Set and monitor sales targets, analyzing performance against key metrics.
- Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain and nurture a robust sales pipeline and customer database.
- Present new initiatives to current and prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance through monthly reports.

**Proposal Management**:

- Prepare and submit comprehensive tender documentation.
- Craft persuasive written proposals and quotations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to draft Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

**Sales Team Management**:

- Align the sales team with organizational objectives and strategies.
- Provide leadership and support to enhance team performance and professional development.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
- National Diploma/BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering advantageous.
- Postgraduate degree such as Master of Business Administration (MBA) advantageous.
- Trade test certification in Engineering trades beneficial.
- Proficient business writing skills and adept negotiation abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and self-assurance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for resolving customer disputes.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under time constraints.
- Resilience and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, particularly in deal-making.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Completion of short courses in Sales and Marketing can be advantageous.
- Proven experience in sales or business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong networking skills, with the ability to leverage existing contacts to drive sales.
- Familiarity with BEE requirements and skills development initiatives advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

**Minimum Requirements**

1. Possession of an Engineering Degree or equivalent Engineering work experience.

2. Mandatory minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior sales role.

3. Mandatory minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership position.

4. Essential familiarity with the Technical Training industry.

5. In-depth understanding of apprenticeship programs, encompassing roles, responsibilities, and regulatory frameworks.
