Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, processing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records using Sage Accounting Software. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and finance. Key Responsibilities Capture and process daily financial transactions on Sage Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers Perform bank reconciliations and manage cashbook entries Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments Assist with customer invoicing, receipts, and credit control Monitor accounts payable and receivable Prepare and reconcile VAT returns (under supervision) Support the preparation of monthly management accounts Assist with year-end audit preparation and compliance requirements Maintain proper filing of financial documents (electronic and hardcopy) Provide administrative support to the finance team as required Requirements Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience Proficiency in Sage (Sage One / Sage Evolution / Sage Pastel – specify your version) Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance Relevant bookkeeping / accounting course or Sage certification Job Type : Temp to perm Contract length : 3 months Pay : R Work Location : In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
