Purpose To provide specialist reporting advice and support related to operations administration services, in order to achieve predefined goals, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance 2-3 years experience in a similar environment Responsibilities Reporting and Cost Management Monthly, quarterly and year end preparation and processing of accruals and/or provisions and identified reallocations. Processing of adhoc journals on request from business. Timeous and accurate month end, half - year and year end manex, headcount and capex reporting for BU's/Functional areas of responsibility to assit in ME & decision making. Timeous and accurate month end, half year and year-end monitoring, reporting and forecasting of key project spend for area of responb)sibility to assist in MI & decision-making. resolution of expense queries (variances to budget or in genral). attend to ad hoc requests (expense variance queries or in general). Vacancies reporting and employee costs analysis. advising cost centre managers concerning matters in their areas to assist in driving cost awareness/efficiencies (saving initiatives) Adhering to Cost Reporting calendar (amended from time to time as efficiencies develop). Budget, Planning and Reporting Adhere to internal and finance timelines and parameters during the budget/reforecast cycles. Train cost centre managers on the preparation and capturing of their budgets. Monitoring the budget process and preparing budget. Administrative and Support functions Updating Delegations of Authority (DOA) for areas of responsibility. Updating of areas structure as and when requires Prepare and/or sign monthly accrual reconciliation accounts with supporting documentation and appropriate ageing. Timeous clearing of accruals and provisions. Review and updating of cost centre allocations. Process improvement. continous assessment of disposal of redundant and redundant and zero-based assets. Quarterly verification of assets Assisting statutory auditors and internal auditors with audit queries and providing info for audit testing.
