The successful applicant / s will report to Dr. Marcelle Stastny & Mr Aslam Barends (practice manager) POSITION SUMMARY The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician is responsible for providing patient care under direct supervision of a psychiatrist, operating transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) machines to provide FDA approved TMS treatments to patients with major depressive disorders and obsessive‑compulsive disorders in the Rewire TMS Clinics. Roles & Responsibilities Administer TMS FDA approved treatments Patient observation during treatments ensuring patients is comfortable Adheres to Rewire TMS Clinic work practices, policies, and procedures, including all protocols. Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve clinic workflow as assigned, such as completing patient visit records, checking in patients, and scheduling patient appointments. Personal Relationships Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and colleagues. Must be able to maintain a high level of adaptability and excel with interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate commitment and ability to advance diversity and inclusion. At least one year of experience in health care related field. Knowledge gained through past jobs related to medical specifically mental health is generally considered as an advantage. Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Ability to work calmly and professionally in stressful situations. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail. Must be well spoken and able to communicate in English. Must live km radius within travel distance from clinic (Roodepoort) Must have a valid driver's license will be of an advantage. Must have own reliable transport. Conditions of Employment TMS training will be provided. First aid training course will be provided. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience specific to medical field. MS Office: Outlook, Power Point, Word. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong time-management skills.
