Ideal Candidate Responsibilities Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on the ammonia refrigeration plants and equipment (Mechanical & Electrical). Attend to breakdowns on plant and equipment. Train artisans and operators to run an efficient refrigeration plant. Ensure plants and refrigeration equipment are properly and safely maintained. Ensure air compressors are properly and safely maintained. Issue and close out work permits. Identify critical spares requirements. Work closely with major suppliers and manage SLAs. Site water chlorination maintenance. Compliance with the requirements of the OHSACT. Candidate Requirements Qualified Electrician/Fitter/Millwright with 10 years working experience in poultry abattoir. 5 years supervision experience in planned routine and preventative maintenance (Foreman level). Experience in the safe operation of ammonia plants (CAT B8 registered). Experience in the Food Processing Industry would be an added advantage. Computer literate and has good communication skills. Self-disciplined and self-motivated. Able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays if necessary.
