Alfa Laval Africa is looking for a specialist in sales to support the Food and Water business in Southern Africa. Key Responsibilities & Objectives Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services. Analyse and understand market insights and customer buying behavior to create sales plans aligned with the business division strategy and targets, working closely with experienced sales team leaders. Identify, manage, and convert market and customer leads into real business opportunities to ensure a robust pipeline. Be actively present in the market, conducting visits, meetings, and interactions to understand customer needs and highlight the value of our products and services. Run operations by managing the customer grid and proactive planning using our tools. Develop value quotes that reflect customer needs, emphasise unique selling points, and follow up accordingly. Use the CRM tool and other supporting tools consistently and qualitatively to support the sales process and inform decisions. Bring innovation and solutions orientation. Demonstrate drive and practicality, executing efficiently while sharing a curious mindset and a desire to continuously improve. Leverage strong people, team, and communication skills to deliver projects agily, meeting quality, time, and target objectives. Show adaptability and flexibility, eagerness to learn, and curiosity that fuels innovation. Experience and Qualifications Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering plus 3+ years of sales experience in a similar role. 5+ years of sales experience for a diploma holder. 10+ years of sales experience in the Food and Beverage industry selling heat exchangers, high‑speed separators, and decanters. Exposure to the Southern African market. Preferred exposure to selling or servicing the Food Industry, Beverage, Brewery, Vegetable or Seed Oils. Added advantage for experience in Starch & Sugar or Dairy Industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; clear expression in written and verbal formats. Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skillset. Organised, methodical, and problem‑solving ability. Team‑player attitude.
