About The Project The Joint Venture CCSJV scarl, led by Saipem with McDermott International and Chiyoda Corporation, was awarded in June 2019 the contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of the onshore LNG project in Mozambique for a total amount of 8 billion dollars, of which Saipem's share is approximately 6 billion dollars. Project: Mozambique LNG Job Title: Environmental Manager Location: Afungi, Mozambique Mission Manage activities related to Environmental aspects and sustainability program, ensuring management of economics resources Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and Saipem integrated HSE management system requirements Stimulate continuous improvement, Environmental initiatives, technological and methodological innovation Advice Senior Management and manage any obligations relating to Environment Define and build environmental awareness Tasks Reporting directly to the Environmental Management in Italy you will have the following responsibilities: Provide guidance to the Environmental teams and to the PROJECT on environmental management; Overall responsibility for environmental program implementation and monitoring Monitor the implementation of Environmental Management requirements as described in this plan. Ensure that PROJECT activities are in compliance with environmental regulation requirements; Responsible to communicate the contents of environmental management in all aspects to the workforce. Responsible to provide inputs for update the Legal Register Provide inputs for environmental awareness training to the workforce. Supervise /control all environmental management activities and ensure proper inspections/audits are carried out; Provide assistance to obtain environmental licences and permits as required by the COMPANY; Provide approval for Subcontractor Site Clearance Activities (SSCAs); Manage environmental work conducted by environmental consultants on site; Report environmental incidents to COMPANY and Implement corrective actions of EMP when needed. Requirements Must have a Bachelor of Science in Ecology or Biology Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role Knowledge to Portuguese language is advantageous What We Can Offer To You 12 months – renewable Corporate Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.
