Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Support Assist in the design, drafting, and modification of mechanical systems for FMCG production lines and heavy-duty equipment Support senior engineers with load calculations and schematic drawings and calculations Prepare and update drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation Installation & Commissioning Support installation teams during equipment setup and controls and analysis Conduct inspections, quality checks, and troubleshooting under guidance Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions on mechanical breakdowns FMCG Plant Exposure Gain experience in high-speed production environments, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives Participate in plant optimisation projects, energy efficiency studies, and maintenance planning Project Engineering Assistance Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, and reporting Ensure engineering tasks comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and engineering teams as required Minimum Requirements Education BSc Mechanical Engineering or BEng Mechanical Engineering Final-year academic average: 60% or higher Skills & Competencies Strong theoretical understanding of engineering principles Interest in systems design, and industrial plant environments Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN beneficial) Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) High level of attention to detail and willingness to learn A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a team Additional Advantages (Non-essential) Exposure to PLC programming, SCADA systems, Automation and Mechanical instrumentation, or industrial networks Python and Java coding
