Position Description Watchmaker Genomics is inviting applications for the full-time position of Quality Control Analyst . The ideal candidate is an adept problem solver and a creative self-starter with excellent organizational skills. This position provides great opportunities for growth for candidates with a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry. There are a variety of assays the QC Analyst will use to support the characterization of enzymes and reagents across our product portfolio. In addition to executing core QC processes, the individual will be increasingly responsible for the validation and verification of new assays, and implementation of new internal processes and support assay development. This position reports to the QC Manager and will interface closely with many aspects of quality control, manufacturing, logistics, process development, and research and development. Responsibilities Execution, documentation, and analysis of routine QC processes Execution of method validation and verifications, and support assay development activities Participate in QC technology transfer activities Ensuring analytical data is well defined, accurate, reproducible, and completed timeously Provide detailed observations from the analysis of data and accurate interpretation of results Stock control Adherence to equipment monitoring, calibration and maintenance Maintain good laboratory practices to ensure quality and safety within QC. Participation in cross‑functional teams to resolve product quality issues, investigations, corrective actions and develop/implement in‑process improvements Skills and Requirements At least 3 years of relevant laboratory experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline. Creative and disciplined problem solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail. The ability to multitask, work at a high standard, perform consistently under pressure along with pre‑determined deadlines and work without supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work as an effective member of a team. Excellent communication, personal task management skills and high levels of motivation and initiative. A creative and disciplined approach to problem‑solving.
