Overview Dis-Chem is looking for a Qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Witbank. The key purpose of the position is to manage and operate a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic that is situated in a pharmacy within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner. Qualifications Grade 12 – Matric Tertiary qualification in General Nursing Degree or Diploma in Midwifery Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) Registered Nursing Practitioner with BHF registration 2 – 3 years' experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister Minimum 5 years experience in the role (advantageous) Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with Patient Record System, CKS, and Allegra (advantageous) Responsibilities Perform Clinic Sister duties in accordance with industry regulations and best practices. Manage the average “feet‑per‑hour” rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient flow. Ensure all clinic services are available at all times. Keep accurate records of patient details and ensure follow‑up communication. Ensure the clinic is open and operational according to the stated hours. Process claims accurately and timely in line with industry standards. Ensure all stock and equipment in the clinic are in working condition. Ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet business needs. Build and maintain healthy relationships with patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aid providers, suppliers, community key role players, and other healthcare stakeholders. Competencies Knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care and/or occupational health nursing. Family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain management, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre‑ and post‑counselling, breastfeeding, pathology, wound care. Quarterly CPD training and in‑service training with Dis‑Chem. Strong command of English (written and oral). Understanding of the financial implications of meeting or missing monthly targets. Strong analytical skills related to monthly clinic statistics and commissions. Emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial flair, trustworthy and honest. Ability to manage a team and self; be self‑direct and self‑motivated. Proficient time‑management skills. Preferred: bilingual. Completion of Baby Immunisation Course (DoH/Sanofi Pasteur), Family Planning Course (DoH), Primary Health Care Course, Breastfeeding Course, Disease Management Course. Additional Requirements Willing and able to work retail hours. Physically fit and healthy to manage a Primary Health Care Clinic. Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
