Business Segment: Insurance & Asset Management Location: ZA, GP, Roodepoort, 4 Ellis Street Job Responsibilities To take lead of technical, retail and expense modelling. Maintaining, developing, and implementing market leading pricing models.Support development of new and innovative products and models.To assist with setting up of monitoring framework.To take lead of policy admin system (PAS) pricing requirements implementation.Supporting management to ensure profitability and objectives are met. Qualifications Type of Qualification: 3-year BSc, 4-year B BusSc or BCom with actuarial majorsHonours is an advantageMember of Actuarial Society of South Africa /Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.At least 6 exemptions / actuarial exam passes Experience Required 4-7 years of short-term pricing experience.Experience with data is preferred.Experience in short term insurance pricing.Experience in system (PAS, rating engine or claims) implementation. Knowledge Knowledge of short-term insurance pricing techniques. Understanding of short-term insurance products and business principles. Understanding of balance sheet and Income statement. Knowledge of actuarial processes and control cycle. Knowledge of the product development process. Understanding of how the FSCA operates. Understanding of the economic environment’s impact on short term insurance industry. Knowledge of South African insurance regulation. Knowledge of system implementation. Additional Information Able to multi-task. Communication skills - written, verbal and presentation skills. Disciplined and have high level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Self-motivated. Pro-active. Specialist actuarial software package skills. SAS statistical package (preferred), Emblem, Radar, Earnix. #J-18808-Ljbffr
