Expertise in developmentally appropriate music and musicing activities across all school phases (ages 4–18), music literacy and musicing development from early childhood through to adolescence. Proficiency and experience in piano and choral training with specific skills in instruction and tactical development. Curriculum development capabilities, including the ability to innovate and design Music Education programmes aligned with national policy frameworks (e.g. CAPS). The ability to integrate music effectively in cross-curricular themes and life skills development. Teaching capabilities encompassing the use of various delivery modes, proficiency in technology integration for Music Education and assessment. Community engagement; development of Music Education in schools.Master’s degree in music education, or a master’s in music education with a teacher education qualification (e.g. PGCE or B.Ed.) Registration for a PhD with significant progress (i.e. PhD proposal approved).PhD in Music Education or a related field. Expertise in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and/or Foundation Phase and/or Intermediate Phase and/or Senior Phase and/or FET Phase (advantageous). Teaching qualification with Music Education specialisation (PGCE or B.Ed.).PhD in Music Education or a related field. Expertise in ECCE and/or Foundation Phase and/or Intermediate Phase and/or Senior Phase and/or FET Phase. Teaching qualification with Music Education specialisation (PGCE or B.Ed.).Some teaching experience in school contexts would be an advantage. Teaching in a Higher Education context would be an advantage. Mentoring or supervision of undergraduate students on Teaching Experience/Work Integrated Learning (advantageous).
