A motivated, well-presented and disciplined Demi Chef de Partie with experience in high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchens. Skilled in supporting station chefs with preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining high standards of hygiene and consistency. Eager to learn, reliable under pressure and committed to delivering quality dishes that elevate the guest experience. Minimum Requirements Matric or equivalent Minimum 12 years kitchen experience (Commis or Demi level) Valid South African ID (no work permits) Culinary qualification advantageous Strong basic cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operations Ability to follow instructions, recipes and service standards Knowledge of hygiene, food safety and HACCP practices Core Skills Assisting the Chef de Partie with station preparation and service Completing mise en place accurately and efficiently Cooking and plating components to required standards Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas Stock rotation, labelling and reducing waste Supporting junior and commis chefs with basic tasks Following all hygiene and safety procedures Communicating effectively with the kitchen team Assisting with new menu items and daily specials Experience Highlights Supported a CDP in running a station during busy service periods Prepared mise en place for hot and cold sections Cooked and assembled components for dishes to spec Maintained workstation cleanliness and followed hygiene protocols Assisted with stock checks, deliveries and storage Learned and followed recipes, plating guides and service standards Worked collaboratively with chefs during high-pressure services Strengths Eager to learn and grow within a professional kitchen Calm, organised and reliable under pressure Strong attention to detail and work ethic Positive, team-focused attitude Availability Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
