Technical Specialist: Hedge Funds / Alternative Administration (Prescient Fund Services) Overview This technical specialist is responsible for investigating and solving technical queries relating to derivative instruments to support excellent operational delivery to hedge fund clients. The technical specialist is a technically strong individual able to provide ad-hoc guidance and support as a subject matter expert in the Alternative Administration teams. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Identifying and resolving discrepancies in trade data, ensuring accuracy across all systems and reports. Understanding of various derivative products, including their characteristics and risks. Close interaction with experts from various teams such as Technology, Data Management and Trade Management. Engage, assist and support all new client take-ons, portfolio transitions and launches, fund set ups, etc. in partnership with the Implementation teams. Participate in idea generation and implementation of efficiencies within the team to support regulatory changes, new client and business requirements. Continually review and optimize operational processes and ensure all operational processes comply with regulations and policies. Able to develop new and existing processes. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently and collaboratively. To optimise the environment (including the full supply chain end to end), developing out the system capabilities and efficiencies for alternative fund products. To support the Alt Admin operations, including assisting with reviews, reconciliations and project solving over month end periods. To work on and roll out the Alt Admin project list as directed by the strategic initiatives. Interacting with internal and external clients to address queries, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE At least 3-5 years of hedge fund / derivatives operations experience within investment management or fund services with familiarity of relevant regulations and compliance for derivatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a solid understanding of financial instruments and regulations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field required. CAIA is advantageous. KEY COMPETENCIES Excellent analytical skills.
