Our client, based in the Northern Suburbs, is looking for a Car Wash Manager. SUMMARY: Our client, based in the Northern Suburbs, is looking for a Car Wash Manager. Role overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining equipment, and driving operational efficiency. This role requires strong technical experience in car wash systems, equipment maintenance, and chemical application, as well as proven leadership and customer service skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational ManagementSupervise and coordinate daily car wash operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality service. Monitor workflow, scheduling, and productivity of staff. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Technical & MaintenanceOperate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated car wash equipment and machinery. Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repair on car wash systems. Oversee chemical usage, calibration, and safe handling of cleaning agents. Liaise with service providers for major equipment repairs and technical support. Staff ManagementDevelop staff on best practices in equipment use, safety, and customer service. Implement performance management and disciplinary measures when required by liaising with the Human Resources Department. Customer ServiceEnsure excellent customer experience by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor service quality and implement improvements. Manage customer loyalty programs, promotions, and feedback systems. Financial & ReportingMonitor budgets, expenses, and inventory of chemicals and supplies. Track daily sales and prepare operational reports. Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs. REQUIREMENTS: Trade test qualification or technical certification in equipment maintenance will be advantageous. Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related technical field. Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a Management role, preferably in a car wash, automotive service, or technical maintenance environment. Proven technical knowledge of automated car wash systems, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems. Strong understanding of chemical application, water recycling systems, and environmental safety standards. Requires weekend and public holiday availability. Physical work will be required for equipment checks, repairs and supervision.
