Sales Manager – B2B Travel Industry Work Type : Direct Hire, Full-Time Experience Required : 2–6 Years Compensation : ZAR per annum (All-inclusive; No bonuses / insurance) Eligibility : Anyone with a valid work permit Travel Requirement : 80% field travel (meet 5+ agents daily) Notice Period : Up to 30 days Seniority level : Mid-Senior level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Business Development and Sales Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with strong B2B travel industry experience to drive business growth in the region. The role focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening relationships with travel agencies, generating new business, and providing product training and support. This is a high-travel role requiring consistent in-person visits to agencies across Durban and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow the B2B travel market through targeted outreach and relationship-building. Strengthen product positioning and regional branding. Generate new sales opportunities and form strategic affiliations. Provide onboarding, training, and support to existing B2B clients. Manage travel agent relationships and follow up on quotes and inquiries. Expand the client network by acquiring new agency partners. Coordinate with internal operations teams for pre-sales requirements. Maintain strong knowledge of regional travel trade, destinations, and outbound markets. Must-Have Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in the travel industry. Proven B2B travel sales experience. Background in business development and account management. Knowledge of outbound destinations and local travel trade. Ability to communicate in English and local languages. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, internet). Valid South African driving licence (mandatory). Must NOT be from companies such as OYO, Airbnb, cruise operators, etc. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience working with airlines or large travel agencies. IATA certification.
