Enterprise Business Analyst

To drive and perform collaborative business analysis, i.e., Identifying opportunities & introducing new projects, innovations that will significantly and positively impact the respective area/ project/ initiative while maintaining and ensuring that business application systems are based on sustainable and supportable technology; Be the enabler of change within our environment by solving complex problems within the environment to deliver solutions which create value; Adopting our BA Ways of Work Framework and applying this in project delivery throughout the Strategic Delivery Framework; Being responsible for Business Analysis that includes: Perform Enterprise Analysis; Perform BA planning activities; Execute on High Level Analysis; Conduct Detailed Design Analysis; Perform solution assessment & validation; Manage Requirements end-to-end; Perform support analysis. Overview: Education and experience: Grade 12 3 Year Formal qualification in the Commerce or STEM fields of study Business Analysis Qualification Advanced Business Analysis Diploma/ Certification IIBA Membership - advantageous Agile Certification – advantageous 10+ years related BA working experience within Financial Services - Essential 5+ years related BA working experience within an Investments and Fund Administration environment – advantageous CBAP Training and certification – advantageous Business Analyses Data warehousing / Business Intelligence Analytics Knowledge and skills: Professionally liaise with project sponsors, project executive owners, Product Owners, SMEs, Head: Analysis & Design and Head: EPMO to drive the remediation/resolution of project escalations; Work effectively and efficiently to achieve outcomes; Verbal and/or written communication to provide the business with regular progress and feedback on projects that have been logged needs to be at an understandable level; Verbal and/or written communication to a variety of stakeholders; As required from time to time, various formal and informal meetings will have to be attended and participated in; Technology and systems; Process engineering. Enterprise Analysis: Identify and propose projects that meet strategic needs and goals; Identify Business need; Determine solution approach; Define solution scope; Assist in developing the Business case. Elicitation: Explore, identify and document stakeholder needs; Prepare Elicitations; Align elicitation back to the business case objectives; Requirements Analysis: Progressively elaborate stated requirements to sufficient level of detail that accurately defines the business need within specified scope; Validate requirements meet the business need; Verify requirements are of acceptable quality; Help prioritise requirements based on business needs; Specify and model requirements; Determine assumptions and constraints; Verify requirements; Validate requirements; Assess benefits. Solution Assessment and Validation: Assess solutions to ensure that strategic goals are met and requirements are satisfied; Assess requirements coverage; Determine Organisational readiness; Validate solution; Evaluate Solution to ensure it meets the business requirements and business benefits. Requirements Management and Communication: Recognise that communication takes place throughout all knowledge areas and is important for managing requirements; Manage the approved solution and requirements’ scope; Ensure stakeholders have access to business analysis work products; Prepare and communicate requirements to stakeholders; Manage requirements by applying a collaborative approach to requirements definition and refinement; Manage User Stories/Requirements with transparency and openness; Facilitate enterprise consistency and efficiency by re-using requirements whenever possible; Manage solution and requirements scope; Manage requirements traceability; Maintain requirements for re-use; Prepare requirements package; Conduct formal presentation of the business case to stakeholders. To provide Technical Support that includes the following activities: Extracting data and analysing the information in order to define the reporting requirements more effectively and guide business where necessary; Connecting to data sources and creating data models and data mapping if required by the project; Provide technical documentation which can be consumed for making development changes on applications if required. To Deliver Projects and Business Requirements that includes the following activities: Managing business expectations and prioritising effectively to ensure projects and requirements are delivered within the agreed scope and timelines; Showing agility and flexibility to handle requirements and handle it as a controlled change management process. To Partner with Business that includes the following activities: Providing support to the business users in the form of investigating discrepancies; Communicating with Business Process Owners, Product Owners and Key Users to translate their requirements into business requirements that can be translated into reports.
