Sales Trader – Johannesburg Full‑time position. Submit applications before Nov 18. About the Role As a Sales Trader, you bridge our clients and the market, providing top‑tier execution, market intelligence and relationship management. Responsibilities Execute and support client orders across equities, FX and derivatives with accuracy, timeliness and market impact awareness. Assist senior sales traders in managing daily order flow, trade bookings and post‑trade processes. Monitor markets and client tickets throughout the trading day, providing updates on price movements, liquidity and relevant macroeconomic or sector developments. Generate and distribute market commentary and trade ideas in collaboration with research and RMBMS teams. Respond to trade‑related queries, provide pricing information and ensure high client satisfaction. Identify potential clients and support onboarding processes to contribute to new business initiatives. Collaborate closely with internal teams – Research, Sales, Trading, risk, compliance and operations. Participate in team discussions and morning market calls, actively developing product knowledge and trading acumen. Stay up to date on global financial markets, macroeconomic events and industry developments to strengthen analytical skills and client communication. Support the sales trading desk during peak hours, ensuring high service levels and efficient workflow. Be a team player and maintain ethical standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field (Master’s or CFA a plus). 1‑5+ years’ experience in a sales trading, execution or dealing desk role. Strong understanding of financial markets, trading platforms and order flow. Proven communication, negotiation and client management skills. Proficiency in Bloomberg and Reuters.
