Production Manager Functional area: Production Onsite or Remote: Onsite Country/Region: ZA Location: Krugersdorp, GT, ZA, 1740 Date of posting: Nov 21, 2025 Production Manager Mission of the role: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in a high-precision CNC manufacturing environment, ensuring production meets planned targets. They will focus on developing and motivating the team to enhance skills, resources, and throughput, supporting Weco’s objective of achieving a 20% annual increase in output. Additionally, the manager will lead safety initiatives with the goal of maintaining zero recordable injuries each year. Your mission: Safety & Compliance : Enforce and improve safety standards, ensure PPE use, lead incident investigations, and report monthly safety metrics. Production Performance : Develop and maintain reports on capacity, utilization, and throughput; track performance by work centre and employee. Daily Operations : Lead daily pulse meetings, manage CNC operations, drive process improvements, approve schedules, and ensure production targets are met. Team Development : Monitor individual and team output, conduct reviews and P&D discussions, and foster a culture of motivation and continuous improvement. Problem Solving & Innovation : Resolve bottlenecks, implement Lean/6S practices, and explore new processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Team & HR Management : Approve leave and overtime, handle HR discussions, discipline, and timekeeping to support workforce management. Maintenance & Supply Chain : Coordinate proactive maintenance, assist with breakdowns, oversee daily checks, manage material procurement, and collaborate cross‑functionally in meetings and client delivery. Your Profile: Trade Tested Artisan/Engineering Qualification BSC Mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent and Business Management Qualification. Minimum of 5 years management experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment. CNC Machining Experience (Milling, Turning & Grinding). Drafting / Technical Drawing Experience (Preferably SolidWorks). Understand financial statements, job costing and finance reporting. Exposure to HMLV production environment.
