Implement performance standards, safety procedures, and technical training. Ensure 24/7 call‑out readiness for critical customers or facilities. Commercial & Financial Manage service contracts and maintenance agreements with clients. Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing on parts and new units. Track profitability per project and optimise technician utilisation. Technical & Compliance Ensure all installations and repairs comply with SANS, NERSA, and municipal electrical standards. Manage warranty claims and liaise with generator OEMs or distributors. Oversee testing, commissioning, and certification of new installations. Keep up‑to‑date with new generator technologies (hybrid, solar‑diesel integration, automation). Qualifications Red Seal Trade Test Certificate as a Millwright (essential). Additional courses or certifications in Operations Management, Project Management, or Business Leadership would be advantageous.
