Overview Lovisa is a fast‑fashion retail company growing quickly on a global scale. Responsibilities Lead and coach the Finance team based at the South Africa support centre, delivering on all KPI’s and group goals. Oversee financial reporting for the Africa region, including monthly P&L, store‑level profit reporting and consolidated forecasting. Manage the month‑end and year‑end close process for Africa and support the EMEA close cycle. Prepare annual financial statements, coordinate external audits, corporate tax returns and monthly VAT compliance for the region. Develop and document business processes, accounting policies and internal controls to strengthen governance. Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations and sign off on Africa‑wide reportability. Recruit, train and mentor finance staff across Banking, AP, AR, Occupancy and General Ledger functions. Advise on best‑practice methods to improve revenue and reduce costs and drive process improvement initiatives. Represent Africa in the global Finance leadership team and contribute to strategic business direction. Participate in ad‑hoc projects and support the broader corporate objectives. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a listed or large organisational context. Proven track record of delivering results and leading high‑performing finance teams. Strong financial modelling skills with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software and dashboard tools such as Power BI. Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to present financial insights to non‑finance stakeholders. Ability to drive KPI development and integrate leading‑edge technology to achieve operational efficiencies. Prior experience in statutory & compliance reporting and audit coordination. Strong leadership capability, able to engage across a global organisation and develop a winning operational team.
