Job Description About Role: The LEAD program is an accelerated growth career program that takes two years on average and emphasizes your experience in leadership and career development. The program has a comprehensive framework, depending on your chosen field, that covers on-the-job training through sub-functional and cross-functional rotations, stretch assignments and learning and training. When you embark on your journey with us, you will participate in two-week onboarding programs to learn about the company and all important areas of the organization. You will also be guided by various managers at different stages of the project and coached by a mentor who is usually a leader of the organization. Towards the end of the journey, you will be assessed on your overall performance and provided a job placement opportunity if you are performing well. You will also pair with a buddy who is a program associate to support each other throughout the journey. What we are looking for: We are looking for agile problem solvers who enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative manufacturing environment to be our next Operations LEAD Associate. LEAD Associates receive in-depth exposure to multiple areas/divisions of our business. Our program is flexible and passionate about the development needs of our associates alongside the needs of the business. We are considering individuals who are passionate about working in Operations, actively engagaing and leading projects that aim to improve Productivity, Efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives . The Associate could work in the following areas: Process and Quality Engineering What you will be doing: The primary roles and responsibilities of this Early Careers Program Associate will be: Learning and implementng the Lean and Six Sigma principles across Operations in South Africa by leading and conducting problem solving effort and propose resolutions utilizing these fundamental tools. Process Improvement: Initiate and support new equipment and process upgrades to minimize scrap, increase productivity and improve quality while assuring improvements are sustained. Quality (Continuues Improvement) : Plan, develop, enhance and implement control systems to ensure product, material, process and procedural compliance with quality standards. Maintain Performance Standards: Provide on-machine expertise to operators and other staff personnel to ensure manufacturing capability and capacity are meeting delivery and performance targets. Project Management: Develop project timelines, assign responsibilities, and drive execution of tasks to deliver goals. The stipend above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries may vary within the range based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change.
