In this role, you will serve as the industry subject matter expert to engage business decision makers to identify, assess and nurture new business opportunities leveraging Microsoft's products, partner offers, and repeatable industry solutions. We are seeking an experienced enterprise sales professional with deep knowledge of the energy and resources industry, i.e., oil & gas, mining, and power & utilities operations. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Energy, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field AND solid customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, consultative selling, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience Responsibilities Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Microsoft's industry efforts in Energy & Resources in Africa. Originate and qualify new opportunities leveraging industry depth and consultative selling. Serve as Microsoft's industry advisor within the Energy & Resources industry in Africa, delivering keynote presentations, publishing thought leadership, and mentoring teams on E&R trends, challenges, and opportunities. Drive industry-focused digital transformation by leading strategic customer engagements, shaping solution strategies, and accelerating adoption of Microsoft technologies. Collaborate across internal teams and partners to co-create impactful solutions, leveraging deep industry expertise. Influence account planning, identify scalable opportunities, and guide customers through multi-horizon transformation journeys. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, aligning Microsoft's cloud capabilities with customer business goals.
