Business Process Engineer – FNB South Africa We are looking for an experienced Business Process Engineer to join our Human Capital team and implement business processes and technology solutions to support the Human Capital strategy. Responsibilities Provide input into the development of the business area tactical strategy and operational plan. Develop and present business cases to stakeholders, prioritising projects and initiatives. Apply business analysis methodologies to document, validate and manage requirements. Participate in solution development, testing, training, change management and communication work streams. Perform root‑cause analysis for process breakdowns and develop countermeasures. Extract data from various sources, convert it into meaningful information and analyse it to create value‑added knowledge. Manage existing reports and dashboards, ensuring consistent information supply. Contribute to budget planning, monitoring and reporting on budget usage. Build working relationships across teams to enhance delivery, collaboration and innovation. Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements. Develop governance and compliance procedures, identify risks and implement controls. Apply project planning and process engineering methodologies to design and optimise processes. Investigate, analyse and develop comprehensive business cases focused on efficiency gains, cost savings and quality improvement. Translate tactical practice plans into actionable goals and execute relevant projects aligned with strategic objectives. Design and develop business process solutions, including handover to execution teams. Monitor client service reports and align processes to maximise satisfaction and cost effectiveness. Participate in continuous improvement activities and promote teamwork and inclusivity. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in business process engineering or analytics. Experience with Workday, SAP or other HC cloud solutions. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Formal Process Improvement Certification (e.g., CBPP, Lean / Six Sigma) – advantage. Experience with Human Capital or HR functions – advantage. Project management or PM certification – advantage. Exposure to consulting, project management and change‑management techniques. Technical Requirements Experience with HC cloud solutions such as Workday or SAP. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio. Understanding of system architecture concepts. Ideal Candidate Hold a Bachelors, Engineering, or related degree. Possess Six Sigma (Black/Yellow Belt) or similar certifications.
