Role Purpose The Senior Laravel PHP Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing web-based applications in line with project requirements. This role requires strong coding abilities in PHP, understanding of modern frameworks, and the ability to collaborate closely with business analysts, testers, and other developers. The developer will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of features for our client's project. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend features in PHP, ensuring clean, efficient, and reusable code. Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical tasks. Integrate with front-end components and ensure smooth API interactions. Work with databases (MySQL) to design schemas and optimize queries. Contribute to system architecture discussions and code reviews. Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices. Collaborate with QA / Testers to resolve bugs and validate deliverables. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years professional PHP development experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems OR equivalent industry experience. Prior experience working on enterprise‑scale web applications. Technical Skills Required Core: PHP (minimum 5 years of experience). Framework: Laravel Databases: MySQL (schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning). Version Control: Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews). API Development: RESTful API design and integration. Testing: Unit testing frameworks. Deployment: Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and containerization. Soft Skills Required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills. Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Team player. Adaptability to Agile (Scrum / Kanban) delivery environments. Expected Outcomes Deliver maintainable, well‑tested code aligned with project timelines. Ensure successful integration of core claims lifecycle features and system admin functions. Employment Type & Location 12 months contract, possibility of extension based on performance.
