Job Responsibilities Assisting in new projects with the establishment of Product Safety, aiming for complete implementation of actions/corrective actions to vehicle safety requirements to prevent repeat failures using the Product Safety catalogue (lessons learnt). Inspecting pre-series units in conjunction with other Q-type responsible PSBs to expedite safety-relevant problem recognition and corrective action implementation. Undertaking regular vehicle and line checks to evaluate current production (parts, part assemblies, and sub-assemblies) and obtain corrective actions for any potential safety-relevant problems detected. Representing the interest of the Quality Assurance Department during technical discussions with Service and the Product Safety Committee. Ensuring, initiating, and/or assisting in the establishment of corrective actions to resolve problems, tracking and monitoring the implementation of agreed actions and verifying effectiveness within Production/Field with the Service Department. Desired Experience & Qualification QUALIFICATION: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ relevant experience in the automotive industry within Production/Product Engineering/Quality environment. Knowledge of vehicle functions (Body, powertrain, chassis, electrical). Ability to process and analyse complex data. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Ability to communicate and present at all levels within the organisation. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
