We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Deal Analyst / Project Assistant to work directly with the Managing Director on live mandates, strategic initiatives, and new deal opportunities. This is a front-line, deal-focused role — not an administrative position — ideal for a professional with investment banking or corporate advisory experience who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment. The role involves working across multiple projects, preparing high-quality deal materials, conducting in-depth research, and supporting client engagements from concept through to execution. The successful candidate will bring together analytical rigour, presentation excellence, and strong project coordination skills to support both deal origination and execution. Duties & Responsibilities Deal Origination & Research Conduct research on sectors, target companies, and market trends to support deal pipeline development. Prepare concise industry insights, competitive analyses, and opportunity briefs. Identify and map potential investors, partners, and transaction counterparts across sectors. Deal Pitching & Presentation Prepare high-quality pitch decks, information memoranda, teasers, and investor presentations. Assist in structuring deal narratives and financial summaries. Support client meetings and presentations, including follow-ups and documentation. Maintain an organised repository of past deal materials and templates for future use. Project Coordination & Execution Support Coordinate ongoing mandates and deliverables, ensuring timelines and milestones are met. Liaise with legal, financial, and technical teams throughout due diligence and transaction processes. Support the Managing Director with stakeholder communication, reporting, and project documentation. Draft internal memos, project updates, and progress reports for management. Review and summarise financial models and analyses prepared by external advisors or partners. Assist in the evaluation of investment proposals, term sheets, and deal structures. Contribute to strategic discussions with investors, banks, and corporate partners. Desired Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications (CFA, CA(SA), MBA, or equivalent) will be an advantage. 2–3 years' experience in investment banking, corporate advisory, or transaction services. Exposure to deal structuring, pitch preparation, or project financing environments preferred. Experience preparing client-facing materials and engaging with senior executives is highly valued. Strong analytical, commercial, and research capability. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (able to produce pitch-ready materials). Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling outputs. High attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional presence and confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders. What We Offer Direct exposure to live deals, investors, and high-level negotiations. Opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director on strategic and cross-border projects. Entrepreneurial, high-performance environment with a steep learning curve. Competitive remuneration and a clear growth path into a senior deal execution role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
