Minimum Requirements Matric or equivalent Minimum 12 years hostess or front-of-house experience Valid South African ID (no work permits) Excellent personal presentation and communication skills Strong organisational and multitasking ability Experience with reservation systems advantageous Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods Core Skills Warm guest greeting and professional first-contact service Reservation management and waitlist coordination Seating plans and table allocation Guest flow management during peak hours Clear communication with FOH and BOH Handling guest enquiries, walk-ins, and special requests Menu knowledge and upselling where appropriate Maintaining entrance, podium and reception-area standards Assisting with service setup and general FOH support Experience Highlights Welcomed and seated guests in a polished, professional manner Managed reservations, waitlists and guest flow during busy periods Handled guest enquiries and coordinated special requests Maintained a clean, organised and stylish front-of-house area Communicated effectively with service teams to ensure smooth operations Supported the FOH team during peak times with guest assistance and coordination Strengths Friendly, confident and guest-focused Excellent communication and personal presentation Calm and organised under pressure Professional, reliable and service-driven Availability Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
