Overview Job Summary Are you a Property Accountant looking for a new challenge? Join a well-established Landlord with a portfolio that runs across the entire South Africa. Passionate about Urban regeneration, they have spent the past 2 decades providing high-class student accommodation services. They are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their Johannesburg-based team. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for daily management of accounting department functions. The role involves managing the General Ledger, ensuring accurate reconciliations, investigating variances, and preparing reports. Responsibilities Oversee the General Ledger, ensure accurate reconciliations, investigate variances, and prepare reports. Manage fixed assets, payroll accuracy, creditors/payables, debtors/receivables, and cash/bank reconciliations. Handle VAT and loan management, prepare year-end audit schedules, and supervise finance staff to ensure compliance, timely reporting, and staff development. Support ad-hoc finance-related activities and maintain accurate financial records. Monitor key performance indicators such as reconciliation accuracy and detailed variance commentary for management accounts. Qualifications A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related subject. 3 years' experience in a similar Accountancy position. Proven experience using Oracle. #J-18808-Ljbffr
