Reference : NFR MoD-1Cost & Management Accountant – Industrial Steel Manufacturing Location : Johannesburg East Type : Permanent | Entry-Level Salary : R / R per annum - depending on experience and skill set Growth Opportunity : Full training and development within the steel manufacturing industry A leading steel manufacturing company is offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost and Management Accountant to be trained and developed into a key operational finance role. This is a hands‑on position where you'll gain exposure to the full cost accounting cycle, SAP systems, and industrial operations — with mentorship and growth built into the journey. Duties & Responsibilities Invoicing (Daily) Supervise and support invoicing clerks Verify margins and resolve queries Ensure timely invoicing of delivery notes Assist with filing and credit procedures Ensure accurate month‑end cut‑offs Inventory Management Investigate stock count discrepancies and upload results to SAP Post and reconcile inventory journals Strengthen controls around product movement and credit notes Reconciliations (Monthly) Reconcile inventory accounts with sub‑ledgers Confirm SAP integration accuracy for items, warehouses and WIP Reporting & Analysis Monitor closed orders, margins, and sales reports Prepare weekly/monthly revenue, customer and commission reports Generate GP% and document‑by‑user reports SAP & IT Liaison Maintain SAP HANA reports and ensure GL data accuracy Collaborate with SAP consultants to improve reporting tools Weighbridge Control Run and reconcile weighbridge reports Ensure accurate recording of stock movements Operational Support Assist with quotes, job cards and sales orders Provide system/process training as needed Manage slitting operations for rollforming General Duties Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by management Work effectively under pressure and in high‑noise environments Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Cost Accounting or Finance Newly qualified CA(SA) or 3–5 years' experience in cost accounting/manufacturing Strong SAP experience (preferably SAP HANA) Advanced Excel and analytical skills High attention to detail and problem‑solving ability Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Why Join Us?
