Overview SUMMARY : Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative. About the YES Initiative The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position information Stipend : R Location : Gauteng (2), KwaZulu-Natal (2), Western Cape (1), Eastern Cape (1). Responsibilities Product Promotion & Sales : Promote products to primary care clinics in the Public Market in order to achieve territory plan objectives. Effective selling skills. Achievement of territory Sales Targets. Achievement of activity objectives. Providing approved information to Health care professionals on Pfizer products, e.g., proper usage, dosage amounts, and side effects. Reporting visits and other activities using approved management tools. Customer Relations : Build relationships with target customers to enhance territory knowledge to gain product endorsement to create broader access of medicine to patients. Ensure that accurate, timely and relevant customer knowledge is captured and shared with colleagues using agreed processes e.g., electronic customer management systems Coverage and frequency on identified primary care clinics in the Public Market Up-to-date customer records. Up-to-date customer database High level of customer service, e.g., timely response to telephone calls, letters, and general requests from customers. Customer plans for KOLs on territory : Providing feedback to Public Account Manager (KAM) on customer requests, responses to promotions and product access and competitive activities. Territory Planning & Management : Diagnosis of situation of territory e.g. local market drivers and initiatives leading to subsequent design and implementation of territory action plan to achieve business objectives. Develop and execute territory business plan. Production of workable territory action plan with objectives. Territory plan implemented / updated as necessary. Achievement of objectives outlined in plan. Demonstration that territory knowledge has been acted on. The territory team plans effectively to link to the geographical team plan for relevant promoted products. Preparing a Plan for his / her territory and products. Presenting reports according to KAM recommendations and market needs. Market Intelligence : Feedback to Team, Head Office, and Manager on local issues to ensure appropriate action can be taken. Territory sales analysis Attending regular meetings with KAM, general meetings, and cycle meetings. Capture and feedback on market intelligence Teamwork : Liaise with team members to share information, motivate and support team members, and therefore contribute to the generation and delivery of the territory plan. Team rapport. Achievement of shared territory plan objectives. Feedback - team members and manager (giving & receiving). Effective communication. Sharing of appropriate information. Good territory management e.g. sharing / exchanging meetings and appointments. Attend team meetings Share customer / territory information with colleagues Administrative Systems : Ensure territory and administrative systems / processes are maintained and updated to ensure an accurate record of territory is always available. Knowledgeable and able to work to the Pfizer compliance standards, accurate, timely reports. Expenses submitted on time. Diary planned. Up-to-date territory records. Computer literacy, e.g., PforceRx Adherence to MAPP and Pfizer SOPs Timely update of records and systems Produce reports - as requested by KAM 100% compliance Understand and work to SOPs Self-Development : Development of skills, knowledge and competency. Receive and act on feedback from team members, trainer, and managers. Learning clinical papers, new sales materials and keeping up to date with relevant disease knowledge Actively seek feedback Requirements South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have previously participated in the YES Programme. Medical or education background. At least 12 months’ sales experience. Pharmaceutical experience advantageous. Working knowledge of the healthcare environment and customer types. Effective selling and presentation skills (virtual and face-to-face). Digital and non-digital learning agility. Valid driver’s licence (driving required). Willingness to travel extensively. Strong business knowledge and customer acumen. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. High degree of flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Strong organizational and prioritization skills Sound understanding of compliance and integrity principles. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
