Overview To manage and recover delinquent accounts by proactively engaging with customers, resolving credit‑related queries, and negotiating suitable payment arrangements. The goal is to reduce arrears and enhance revenue recovery within defined mandates. Responsibilities Manage and recover delinquent accounts, compiling and maintaining accurate credit information, preparing relevant reports, and securing necessary approvals for refinancing and repossession actions. Collect arrears and negotiate acceptable RAR's. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions. Research and develop new MIS / reports for risk management. Retrieve and manipulate data into an understandable format through extensive data mining and analysis. Conduct risk grading of the customer base by inputting data into Regulatory Credit Risk reports and models to minimise risk to the bank for future business. Build and maintain predictive / pricing / profitability models by constructing, testing and monitoring collections and credit model performance. Manage own development to increase competencies. Qualifications Minimum Qualification: Matric. Preferred Qualification: Related field qualification. Experience: 1 to 4 years in a similar role, with key understanding of the early‑stage collections process and dialer experience. Ability to manage costs/expenses within an approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies. Adaptable and curious, with strong analytical skills to evaluate complex data sets.
