Introduction This role offers exposure to the full workings of a fast-growing e-commerce startup, ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in operations and management in the E commerce space. The business focuses on the Fitness and Lifestyle categories and markets, designs, develop and distributes multiple brands within this space. The Operations and Product Listing Assistant supports the daily operations, ensuring smooth coordination across product listings, catalogue management, e-commerce platforms, and administrative functions. You will work directly under the Operations Leads, with the main goal of reducing their workload so they can focus on higher-level growth initiatives. This position is in-office, based at our De Waterkant office, with potential flexible start / finish times depending on workload and alignment with business needs. You will be part of a young, hard working, small team (5–8 people, ages Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Operations & Product Management (Approx. 80%) Build, manage, and maintain detailed product catalogues. Load, edit, optimise, and update product listings across multiple marketplaces. Write accurate, engaging, brand-aligned product descriptions. Edit and upload product images with consistent formatting and quality standards. Maintain SKUs, pricing, attributes, and stock information. Keep listings synced with inventory systems and ensure accuracy across all channels. Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and operations leads. Track purchase orders and assist with inbound stock and logistics workflows. Support order operational processes and inter-department communication. Manage customer replies, responses, and basic support queries. Maintain spreadsheets, stock reports, and operational documents. Catalogue Building & Maintenance Build and update detailed product catalogues for all sales channels. Use bulk uploads, CSV templates, and sync tools for listings. Standardise product information and maintain accuracy across platforms. PA & Office Management (Approx. 20%) Support management and operations leads with admin and scheduling. Assist with office organisation and day-to-day coordination. File management, correspondence, documentation upkeep. Calendar management, meeting preparation, reminders, and logistics support. Occasional PA duties handled with discretion. Desired Experience & Qualification Requirements Minimum 2 years consecutive work experience with an IN OFFICE job (admin, operations, listings, or e-commerce). Freelance working does not count. Bachelors Degree, NQF 7 and / or ACCA in Business Management or Commerce, Operations, Brand Communication, Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics Accounting / Bookkeeping or similar relevant degree. Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy. Strong references. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Comfortable working in-office full-time at our De Waterkant location. Potential for flexible start / finish times depending on operational needs. Confident with online platforms, spreadsheets, and digital tools. Driver's licence & reliable transport ideal. Agency or large corporate experience. Bonus: creative or social media skills. Not a remote role – in-office only. No job-hoppers – stable work history required.
