Our client has the following vacancies available : Financial Manager (Technical IFRS / Consolidation within the Finance Division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga / Pretoria, Gauteng. Responsibilities and Duties : Oversee and manage a team of accountantsBe the IFRS technical go-to person in the GroupReview and guide on allocated Segments GL reconciliationsFacilitate governance around monthly recon control sheetsComplete bi-annual performance reviews with direct reportsContribute to setting KPIs for direct reportsContribute and participate in the operations annual budgeting processContribute to the preparation of the annual consolidated budgetEnsure statutory and SARS-related matters are complied with for allocated segmentsProvide input into tax mattersSupport and lead the accountant team in external auditsManage relationships with key stakeholders in the businessMaintains financial security by following internal controlsSupport team on Year-end preparation, completion / review of annual financial statements, tax calculations, and completion of tax returnsContribute to the consolidation of Group results on a monthly and annual basisCritically evaluate / analyze relevant financial accounting results to identify errors / omissions / risksCoach and mentor junior team membersTake full accountability for the allocated segments accounting and financial reporting accuracy and completenessSupport the team in the meeting (and improving on) monthly and annual deadlinesTake responsibility for effective finance-related staffing / resourcing of allocated segmentsCritically evaluate financial output to meet IFRS standards and requirementsAny other finance-related activities as may be required from a manager from time to timeQualifications / Skills / Characteristics : Qualification : CA(SA) 2+ years of managing employees2+ years experience with the preparation of consolidated resultsIn-depth current-day knowledge of IFRSComputer literate / Highly proficient in ExcelFinancial reporting skillsGood / transparent communicatorPeople managementCritical thinkerSelf-starter and go-getterAttention to detailDeadline orientedAbility to perform well under pressureTake initiative on financial reporting improvements / amendmentsSense of confidentialityGood time-managementUp-to-date knowledge of IFRS standards and working knowledge of tax legislation #J-18808-Ljbffr
