Helping companies create dynamic creative content for their online marketing and communication Position: SHEQ Manager Reports to: General Manager Location: Marcom Plastics, Pepler Street, Rosslyn, Pretoria, South Africa. This position will report to the General Manager. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and processes to ensure that all products, processes, and services meet specified quality requirements and comply with applicable standards and regulations. Establish and manage effective inspection and testing processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and other relevant records, in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Lead and manage the quality control team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and coaching, to ensure that quality control activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. Lead investigations of quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality problems and prevent recurrence. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in quality control processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of quality control activities. Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain effective quality control measures for incoming materials, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and monitoring, to ensure the quality of purchased materials and components. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements through regular audits, assessments, and inspections, and drive necessary corrective actions to address non‑conformances. Collect, analyze, and report quality performance metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders to drive informed decision making. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control principles, tools, and techniques. Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability. Manage the safety, Health, Environment and Product Safety and Quality Programme. Develop, maintain, and improve quality and H&S policies and procedures. Implement and maintain Global EHS standards. Implement and maintain Environmental Management Systems. Supporting the implementation of a H&S and Product Safety & Quality Management system and procedures. Supporting H&S and quality control in all departments and training of relevant people. Product Safety and Quality. Managing SHEQ Budgets. Ensure Legal Compliance at all times. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or equivalent. Audit experience and certification in FSSC, ISO. Proven 5 years’ experience in Quality Control Management role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques, including inspection, testing, statistical process control, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as FSSC, ISO, and FDA regulations or other applicable quality standards. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and implement effective solutions. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of quality control technicians. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
