Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in the steel industry to join our client’s dynamic team. Duties & Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of steel materials, fabrication processes, and industry standards to accurately estimate project costs. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and identify potential cost factors. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive and competitive bids. Conduct thorough cost analysis, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, to provide accurate project pricing. Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry developments to make informed decisions during the estimation process. Review and assess subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements. Participate in bid review meetings and presentations to communicate estimates effectively and address any client inquiries or concerns. Desired Experience & Qualification REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the steel industry, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Strong understanding of steel fabrication techniques, material properties, and industry-specific challenges. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately interpret project specifications and drawings. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information clearly. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to optimize project costs and profitability. Interested?
