Job Vacancy: Van Assistant Goerge Job Purpose: To assist the delivery driver with loading, unloading, and delivering parcels efficiently and safely, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities: Assist the driver in loading and unloading parcels from the delivery van. Help organize parcels in the van for efficient delivery routes. Support the driver with delivery tasks such as carrying parcels to customer locations. Obtain customer signatures and confirm deliveries when required. Communicate effectively with the driver and dispatch team regarding delivery progress and issues. Handle parcels carefully to prevent damage. Report any delivery issues, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the delivery van and equipment. Adhere to all health and safety regulations during delivery operations. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in a logistics or courier environment preferred but not essential. Physically fit and able to lift and carry parcels up to (specify weight) kg. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Valid drivers license may be an advantage but not required.
