Role Description Techroid Solutions is seeking a Data Center Engineer for a contract role based on‑site in Johannesburg. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining data center infrastructure, monitoring system performance, and providing technical support. Day‑to‑day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, implementing and maintaining cabling solutions, overseeing hardware installations, and ensuring optimal operation of data center systems in a secure environment. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and adherence to safety and operational protocols are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities • Managing and maintaining data center infrastructure • Monitoring system performance • Providing technical support • Troubleshooting system issues • Implementing and maintaining cabling solutions • Overseeing hardware installations • Ensuring secure and efficient data center environment • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams • Adhering to safety and operational protocols Qualifications Proficiency in Data Center Operations and Infrastructure management Dell certified Engineer Engineer Storage and server certification Strong skills in Troubleshooting and providing Technical Support 5 years of experience in Cabling, Software and hardware installations Familiarity with maintaining a secure and efficient data center environment Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail Certification in relevant technologies is a plus Ability to work effectively in an on‑site, fast‑paced environment in Johannesburg Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Techroid Solutions by 2x.
