Business Development Manager

Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across their Air & Sea division. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with deep exposure to freight forwarding, supply chain solutions, and multimodal transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities that align with the organization's strategic client profile. This includes achieving revenue targets as outlined in sales agreements and contributing to the growth of the Air & Sea division through consultative selling and strategic relationship management. Minimum Requirements Minimum years' sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain environments Matric and tertiary qualifications Sound understanding of Air, Ocean, and Road transportation, forwarding, and customs clearance (advantageous) Valid driver's license and own vehicle Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a sustainable sales pipeline aligned to strategic growth targets Own and manage all opportunities, accounts, and productivity metrics via the prescribed CRM system (Dynamics) Lead onboarding and implementation of new business accounts Maintain an effective and structured diary to optimize client engagement Build strategic relationships across multiple levels within client organizations Apply consultative selling techniques to position the company as a supply chain partner of choice Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets Meet weekly and monthly call activity benchmarks Preferred Competencies Proven ability to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders Confident in delivering presentations and client pitches Professional appearance and demeanor Self-motivated with a hunter mindset and ability to work independently or within a team Effective coordination, organization, and administrative skills Relationship-building capability across clients, operations, and internal teams Ambitious, driven, and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Technical Proficiency Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (advantageous) #J-18808-Ljbffr
