Functional Test Analyst

A highly skilled Functional Test Analyst is required for a long-term project focused on delivering high-quality systems for a major counterfeit-prevention initiative. The role involves comprehensive end-to-end testing across backend, frontend, integration, data migration, and automation environments within an Agile setting. You will be responsible for functional testing, integration testing, automation support, and coordination of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Key Responsibilities Develop functional test scripts using business and functional requirement documents. Validate requirements for testability, data migration, integration, and business process coverage. Plan and execute testing activities to ensure timely sign-off. Execute manual and automated tests using MF ALM & UFT plugins. Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across multiple systems. Run automated testing scripts and contribute to long-term automation goals. Analyse test results, log defects, and compile defect management reports. Define and maintain regression test packs. Work within Agile and hybrid project environments. Prepare and deliver test documentation including test plans, test cases, execution results, sign-off certificates, test closure reports, and knowledge-transfer artefacts. Minimum Requirements IT Diploma or Degree (Software Development or related). ISTQB Foundation or Test Analyst certification. Functional testing certification (advantageous). Automation testing certification (advantageous). Experience and Skills 5–8 years' experience in software testing. 3–5 years' experience in functional and database testing, SIT, and UAT coordination. Strong experience working with MF ALM / Octane. Proven background in Agile project environments. Data migration testing experience. Ability to analyse and manage large datasets. Strong understanding of testing methodologies and techniques. Integration testing experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify risks and propose effective testing scenarios. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Clear and confident communicator with stakeholders and team members. Strong time-management and organisational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
