Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) Job Purpose Lead the design and development of scalable ETL systems and data pipelines to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time reporting across the organisation. This role requires deep expertise in SAS, SQL, and AWS, with a strong understanding of data governance and quality assurance in a retail environment. Core Responsibilities Systematic Solution Design Architect and implement data solutions aligned with business requirements. Ensure high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Translate business needs into scalable data architecture. ETL Development Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines using SAS and AWS tools. Validate data against financial and operational records. Integrate external data sources into the data warehouse. Data Governance & Quality Assurance Promote understanding of data sources and lineage. Define and monitor data quality metrics. Ensure compliance with governance and security standards. Customer-Centric Delivery Maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction. Communicate progress and manage expectations effectively. Deliver solutions within agreed SLAs. Teamwork & Self-Management Collaborate across teams and mentor junior staff. Demonstrate accountability and professionalism. Continuously develop technical and interpersonal skills. Required Skills & Experience 5–10 years in data engineering or data warehousing (Kimball methodology). Advanced proficiency in SAS (Data Studio, Base, Stored Processes). Experience with AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue). Proficiency in Python or R. Experience in Retail, Financial Services, or Logistics sectors. Qualifications 3-year IT-related degree (minimum). Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
