RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS ENGINEER (JOHANNESBURG) - Permanent NEL Engineering, Mining and Civil Gauteng , JHB - Central We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on solar PV systems. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing turnkey projects, and evaluating financial impacts throughout the system's lifecycle. Experience & Skills Required Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, with at least 2 years focused on specific technologies (e.g., solar, wind). Proven track record of successful renewable energy projects. Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst) and energy modeling tools. In-depth understanding of energy systems, grid integration, and sustainability principles. Hands‑on experience with energy data analytics and performance monitoring. Knowledge of turnkey solar PV projects and renewable energy financial modeling. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (minimum requirement). ECSA registration (Professional Engineer/Candidate). Additional certifications (preferred but not mandatory): Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA). PV Green Card certification. General Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Chrome, and cloud‑based document management. Driver’s license preferred.
