Our Client in the Automotive Industry (Retail Space), is seeking to employ an experienced Sales Manager to their team based in East London. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive retail industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive retail industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets. Knowledge of new and used vehicle sales operations. Experience in managing relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) levels. Computer literacy, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Assist in formulating and implementing ongoing vehicle sales policies. Maximize sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecasts. Develop and manage the sales organization to achieve sales and profitability objectives. Ensure optimal stock levels of new and used vehicles on-site and on order. Control departmental expenses and ensure adherence to budget. Develop and implement sales growth strategies for new and used car sales. Motivate and lead the sales team to achieve company, retail, and wholesale sales targets. Set and monitor individual sales targets and performance metrics (e.g., fleet calls, daily contacts, demonstrations). Monitor all customer contacts, leads, and follow-ups to ensure conversion. Ensure cost control and profitability within the sales department. Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction levels. Manage the relationship between the dealership and OEM. Manage OEM scorecards and required monthly reports. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards. Manage assets and vehicle debtors to benchmark levels. Conduct daily and weekly client visits to build and maintain strong relationships.
