Location: KFC Merrivale – (opening early December 2025) Title: Restaurant General Manager Store: Shop 9 Merrivale Centre, 13 Zeederberg Road, Merrivale, Howick Purpose of the Job To achieve sustainable sales and profits by leading the restaurant team and overseeing the management of all KFC systems and processes through: Effective leadership behaviors to create a winning culture The delivery of the KFC Brand, people and customer promise Key Job Responsibilities People (30%) Ensure all team members understand the True Blue and KFC culture and live and breathe the principles on every shift Optimum staffing of the restaurant on every shift Take overall accountability for the development of all team members Maintain a bench for SS and RGM positions Conduct strong performance appraisals and IDP’s with all team members Maintain employee relations, initiating and disciplinary action when necessary Ensure team member compliance with all rules and regulations Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements Reward and recognize staff Ensure the timeous submission of all payroll and HR related documentation Customer (20%) Create a customer focused environment Maintain an above average ROCC rating Manage all customer complaints in line with company policy, procedure and time frames Ensure the store consistently provides excellent customer service by making use of the company tools and reports available at the time Consistently seek to maximize the sales in the restaurant through exceptional standards and a “maniacal approach” to customer service Set bold sales targets and strive to consistently exceed these targets Execute agreed local and national marketing activities to maximize sales Understand the local competition and share best practices across the area and region Develop a strong sales culture in the store Ensure staff are timeously trained on all new products and promotions Profit (20%) Maximize the profitability of the restaurant by understanding and controlling all restaurant costs Utilise company tools to guarantee 100% product availability at all times Minimum Qualifications Required Matriculated, tertiary qualifications are preferred Have reliable and affordable transport to and from store at start and end of shifts Experience Experience as an RGM in large quick service restaurant (3-5 years) Displayed excellence in all KPI’s in the restaurant Displayed consistently above average BSC results as an RGM Knowledge and Skills Sound MS Office knowledge – Word, Excel and PowerPoint Understanding of profit and loss Demonstrates a strong sales focus Effective coaching skills Basic HR knowledge Customer mania Strong communication skills at all levels A track record of developing people Proven track record of meeting deadlines Deadline: 01 December 2025 Seniority Level Director Employment Type Full-time Job Function Management and Manufacturing Industries Food and Beverage Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
