About the job Process Controller | BMR Utilities DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: 10 November 2025 CLOSING DATE: 19 November 2025 DEPARTMENT / DOMAIN: BMR PRODUCTION - UTILITIES PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To perform process control duties as per the section specific procedures to enable the section / plant to meet production targets with respect to time, quality, reduced frequency of errors and wastage reduction. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science essential. Completion of all BL modules and one Utilities Process Controller module (excl. Clerk) essential. Strong analytical, planning and problems solving skills. Good understanding of risk assessments, principles of handling material and plant specific processes. Computer literacy i.e. MS Office, SAP will be an added advantage. Must be medically fit for BMR. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out all tasks associated with the Process Controller position as per the Utilities CPDP. Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with work procedures. Meet section specific production targets and to attend to and report production related problems. Conduct analysis, monitor purities and yield and report where required. Ensure that log sheets (and other required documentation) are updated accurately, conduct analyses and monitor operations. Utilize the correct amount of chemicals and other supplies and control chemical spillages. Perform on-the-job training on the modules found competent in as per CPDP guidelines. Responsible for promoting and maintaining safety, environmental, quality and security standards in area of work. Promote and maintain good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
