Job Summary The Professional Nurse / Clinical Nurse is a professional who remains responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of individualised, holistic and person‑centred nursing care of a patient, their families or the community, either performed directly or indirectly. The incumbent ultimately coordinates patient care within the concept of the multi‑disciplinary health team. The incumbent also fulfils the role by the use of scientifically based nursing theories and processes, treating the patients as a physical, social and spiritual individual, and by use of educational and technical means applicable to health care practice. CONSISTENCY OF CARE Key Responsibilities Pre‑operative Preparation Prepare and check all anaesthetic equipment, drugs, and consumables according to standard operating procedures. Conduct pre‑operative assessments and verify patient identity, consent, and readiness for surgery. Ensure the availability and functionality of airway management and emergency equipment. Intra‑operative Assistance Assist the anaesthetist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia. Monitor the patient’s physiological status, document observations accurately, and promptly report any deviations. Maintain aseptic and safe practices throughout all procedures. Anticipate the anesthetists’ needs and respond efficiently during surgery. Post‑operative Care Assist with patient recovery and #J-18808-Ljbffr
