Purpose of the role From retail and pharmacy to clinics, insurance and beyond, we’re applying machine learning and smart systems to reimagine healthcare pathways and create personalised experiences at scale. As a Data Scientist you will deliver actionable insights and advanced analytics that enhance commercial decision‑making across pricing, promotions, and assortment planning in a retail environment. Essential qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering). Solid experience in data science or analytics roles. Proficient in Python and PySpark. Advantageous qualifications Honours or Master’s degree. Experience in the retail or consumer sector. Exposure to Power BI or other BI tools. Background in pricing, promotion, or assortment optimization. What you will be doing Build and deploy predictive models and analytics solutions. Design and manage scalable data pipelines. Collaborate with commercial teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions. Track and measure business impact of interventions (e.g., pricing, promo or assortment changes). Present insights and recommendations clearly and concisely. Who you are Strong problem‑solver with critical thinking abilities. Able to break down complex problems into solvable components.
