Description A leading mining company is looking for an Applications Solutions Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg GP. Responsibilities Work with users to formulate and document business requirements. Analyze business requirements in terms of solution scope, feasibility and impact. Develop functional specifications for use by system developers. Participate in solution design to ensure alignment with business requirements. Create and implement system test plans. Participate in sign-off on and review UAT test cases. Create user and training documentation and conduct training classes. Ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system. Identify, investigate and analyze business processes. Ensure operational integrity and elevate process issues and concerns. Demonstrate a strong understanding of system integration tools and technologies, including the ability to design, implement and manage integrations across various systems. Plan, direct and coordinate activities to ensure all goals are accomplished. Develop project plans including milestones, strategy, scheduling, risk identification, contingency plans and resource allocation. Prepare project status reports and keep all stakeholders informed. Direct the activities of project personnel to ensure projects stay on schedule. Requirements Relevant qualification in a related field. Experience in a project management role. At least 5 years of experience in an IT ERP environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various stakeholders across the business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for sharing operational ideas and technical knowledge. Knowledge of and experience with JD Edwards Planning and Analytics (TM1), Maximo and Perceptive Content preferred. Knowledge of business functional areas such as sales, finance, procurement, logistics, maintenance, AR and AP. Ability to work effectively under pressure, operate independently and meet deadlines with strong time management and prioritization skills.
