Assistant Manager (Internal Applications Only) Location: Rustenburg, North-West, South Africa Employment type Full-time Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Job function Human Resources Industries Mining Requirements NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Human Resources, Employee Relations or relevant field At least 5‑8 years’ Human Resources experience in a related role Medically fit to work in the specific business area Clear security screening record Valid Driver's License (if Applicable) Key Responsibilities Human Resource Management (Operational) Ensure effective human resources services to meet organisational objectives Consistent implementation of the Labour Management value chain Maintain correct standard processes across the organisation Develop realistic yet challenging HR benchmarks and efficiencies for shafts to adhere to Improve systems support to HR (SAP, Essbase, etc.) Audit shafts on compliance to Human Resources standards and processes through data and visits Support accurate labour reporting and audit shaft labour reporting regularly Provide ad‑hoc support to ensure high quality delivery of HR service Recruitment: engage and source appropriate staff within Operation Contribute to planning and implementation of the performance management process Coordinate support for incoming and outgoing expatriates (relocation, accommodation, education) within Operation guidelines Provide independent support to managers and employees in resolving discrimination, harassment allegations and other grievances Assist managers in progressing disciplinary and performance issues for administrative, support and professional employees Ensure operational compliance with all obligations under employee consultation processes Lead and develop the performance of a team in line with the organisational performance management system and company values Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders (unions, communities, government, contractors, suppliers) across all levels Ensure open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers Build a values‑based organisational culture and participate in the execution of the organisational development plan Align to international responsible mining principles; SA Gold Operations align to WGC Responsible Gold Mining Principles; SA PGM Operations align to the eTfS initiative Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment; participate in risk assessments and address identified risks Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department and participate in regional/local decision‑making forums Approve departmental documents and comply with the Quality Management System; focus on safe production and operational excellence Design specific operational discipline structure to support organisational objectives and review labour plans around operational targets Provide leadership and inspire team members toward high performance; manage performance and development of reporting staff; set discipline performance targets aligned with organisational goals Drive organisational culture and climate to ensure safety and achievement of organisational objectives; promote a culture of learning, continuous improvement and transformation within the operation Additional Requirements NQF 8 (Post‑graduate Diploma / Honours Degree / Professional Qualification Degree) in Human Resources, Employee Relations or relevant field would be advantageous Qualification in Labour Law would be advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr
