Project Engineer

Greenchain Group is seeking a practical, hands‑on Project Engineer with a strong engineering background and the ability to work both in the office and on the workshop floor. The ideal candidate will not only assist in managing technical project deliverables, but will also actively participate in manufacturing, assembly, testing, and on‑site system integration. Experience in the water treatment or engineering fabrication sector will be a strong advantage. This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem‑solving, has strong technical aptitude, and is comfortable moving between engineering planning and physical build activities. Key Responsibilities Support project planning, scheduling, and technical documentation. Assist with project execution from design through to commissioning. Coordinate with internal teams, fabricators, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure engineering specifications and quality standards are met. Manufacturing, Assembly & Testing (Hands‑On Duties) Participate in workshop assembly, mechanical build, system integration, and testing of water treatment equipment. Assist with FAT procedures (Factory Acceptance Testing). Troubleshoot technical issues during build and commissioning. Prepare systems and equipment for delivery, installation, and handover. Procurement & Technical Support Assist with procurement of components, equipment, and fabrication services. Review technical drawings, scope documents, and bill of materials. Support installation and commissioning activities on‑site as required and after project completion. Reporting & Compliance Maintain project tracking tools, documentation, and progress updates. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements. Provide updates and feedback to Directors, clients and team members where appropriate. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil or related) – essential. Minimum of 2‑3 years experience. Strong technical aptitude and hands‑on practical ability. Experience in engineering projects, manufacturing, or system integration (advantageous). Experience with water treatment systems or process plants (advantageous). Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, Airtable, and project coordination tools. Strong organisational, communication, and time‑management skills. Ability to work in workshop environments and on‑site during commissioning. Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport, preferably live within a 10‑20 km radius of the Company.
